Blended to perfection in sunny Saskatoon, we know that you will savour something special with our sunshine in a glass.

Religion and medicine have used alcoholic beverages for centuries but the stories do not stop there. The history surrounding distilled spirits is rich with interesting people and times.  Distilled spirits have often had an affect that reached far beyond the drinkers, bartenders and distillers.

Every distilled spirits that we consume today is unique in some aspect, many have a culture or history all their own. Bourbon families like the Beams and Samuels have carried their craft through generations just like the agave farmers and tequila distillers of Mexico. With the recent cocktail revival, pre-prohibition traditional formulations are resurfacing and sparking renewed interest amongst bartenders, as they seek to add a culinary and local touch to their signature cocktail creations.

Souleio Spirits, our fruit & nut infused liqueurs, are blended right here on the premises using family inspired recipes.  In the spirit of the traditional"mestres" (Provençale masters) of the past, Souleio Spirits is rediscovering their unique know-how and refining it to suit the prairie landscape.  Souleio Spirits are made with prairie fruits such as sour cherries, black currants and other natural ingredients.

Hand-dried herbs and organic local fruit & nuts are infused separately for a designated time in superfine alcohol, before gentle pressing. This draws out the inherent essence of the featured ingredients.  The steps that follow: blending, taste-testing, filtration, correct and adjustment - are meticulous and precise, but also demand a chef's palate and a scientist's intuition. Finally, time take its course so that the aromas of our liqueurs are released and the tastes balanced in the bottle.

'Simply Sinful' Haskap

This saskatchewan grown berry was produced first by the University of Saskatchewan and has now taken up residence at many berry farms across the province. It is high in antioxidants and has a similar flavor to a blueberry & pomegranate mixed toghether:

  • Straight, Over ice is a tasty treat!
  • In creative cocktails:
  • As an ice cream topping on a hot day.

Blackcurrant Creme de Cassis

Our rendition of the traditional Cassis de Dijon, using of course local berries. Enjoy Blackcurrant Cordial:

  • Straight
  • In creative cocktails & martinis
  • Added to white or sparkling wine for a Kir or Kir Royale
  • Drizzled over pound cake and vanilla ice cream or pump up your fruit pies
  • Add a splash to your local lager or ale to make a Prairie-style “kriek”

Sour Cherry Carmincello

The years research that went into developing a hardy sour cherry for the Prairies has paid off in your glass. Enjoy Carmincello:

  • Straight
  • In creative cocktails & martinis
  • Mixed with rye or bourbon for a Prairie-style Manhattan
  • Add a splash to your local lager or ale to make a Prairie-style “kriek”
